Our Community Choirs are in the heart of the community and are perfect as a wind down after work or to start your evening off with a boost of “feel good”!

Community Voice Pontyclun meet Wednesdays at 6.15pm in St. Pauls Church, Pontyclun
Community Voice Bassaleg meet Thursdays at 5.45pm in Faith Church, Rogerstone,
Community Voice Radyr will meet Thursdays at 6.15pm from October 5th in The Old Church Rooms , Radyr. 



We are a non-auditioned choir open to all regardless of singing experience or voice type. Songs will be learned mostly by ear and repetition although there will be music and words to take away and practice. We also make rehearsal videos which means you can sing along at home!

Our community choirs learn a wide range of music ahead of putting on concerts for family and friends.

If you would like to join your local Sally's Angels Community Choir, then come along any week!

The first session is free, and after that there is a monthly payment of £23 for adults, £13 for students payable by standing order.

Community Voice FAQ's
Do I have to have an audition or be able to read music? 
No, you don’t have to audition, be able to read music or be a good singer; we just want you to LOVE singing! 

What age of people can be in Community Voice? 
This choir is open to everyone regardless of age! Anyone under the age of 14 needs to be accompanied at all times by an adult member. 

What sort of songs will we sing? 
We sing a wide variety of music; pop and rock, classical and some lovely songs in Welsh! It will usually be in 3 part harmony and there will be words and music to take away. Once we are up and running, there will also be audio tracks available on the website.
 
What does the  monthly cost cover? 
The rehearsal fees covers the costs of paying the leader and accompanist; music, performing licences for all the songs that we use as required and other administrative costs and expenses incurred in the day to day running of a business. 

Do you offer discount for concessions? 
We offer concessions to students and families with 4 or more immediate relatives living in the same household, please put this onto your form. It’s a family rate 

Why am I paying for Community Voice when there aren’t any rehearsals? 
Community Voice will run for 44 weeks of the year with 60 or 90 minute rehearsals accoridng to the time of the year. We will not sing in August (following the Summer Concert) nor will be singing for the four weeks over the Christmas holidays into Jan following our Christmas concert. The monthly cost is the total membership fee  divided by 12 months. 

Will I get a refund if I don’t attend all the rehearsals? 
You may cancel the standing order at any time if you decide to leave Community Voice. There will be no refunds issued for missed sessions. 

What do we wear to sing?
We will wear a “Community Voice” T shirt that you will be required to purchase ahead of the concerts. You can also buy chor jackets, hoodies and sweatshirts.

Is there a Community Voice near me?
We are currently up and running in Bassaleg, Newport, Pontyclun and Radyr and are always looking for new locations in which to sing songs and raise smiles!
